Firstly, how did you get into supporting Bury?
Firstly by my uncle. He took me to my 1st game at age of 5 against Lincoln, who’s star striker then was Jason ‘he’s got a pineapple on his head’ Lee.
What did you make of your season before Lee Clark was sacked?
The number of signings we made, it was going to take time for them to gel but then it never got going. Too many changes, inconsistent team selections & tactics and the results just never arrived. He had to go.
How have things gone for you since Clark was sacked?
We are currently still recovering from the damage and mess that Clark created. Conceding too many and not scoring enough. It is a recipe for disaster.
Who should Argyle fans keep an eye out for on Saturday from within the Bury ranks?
I was struggling on that one until the arrival of James Hanson (a 6’4 striker from Sheffield United) was confirmed!
How would you describe your team’s current style of play and tactical approach to matches?
What do you view as your side’s strong spots and weak spots?
Are there any Argyle players you would take at Bury right now?
Diagouraga I would take. He & Dawson in the centre of midfield would be a quality pairing. Graham Carey has that bit of class to win you games, Lionel Ainsworth I’ve always been a fan of. Pace in abundance & can get goals too.
What did you make of the last game between the two sides, when the two sides drew 0-0?
It was not the greatest of games. At the time, two sides in poor form cancelling each other out really.
What do you make of Argyle’s season and our chances of staying up?
I had you pegged to be in bottom 4 at the start (sorry), but the addition of Ainsworth & re-signing of Carey were both bound to be a big help. Another striker to ease the burden off Taylor & you’ll have a great chance of beating the drop.
Can we expect much business from Bury this January transfer window?
I think the arrivals of Hanson, Ripley & Clarke & the return of Zeli Ismail who feels like a new signing, are just the beginning. We need another striker, a CM & a RB/RWB. I expect to see a few more in with quite a few out.
Finally, a score prediction for the game?
Tough to call. You’ll be tough to break down & will have to watch out for you on the counter. Don’t know what to expect from us. Hopefully, we go 2 up top with Hanson & Ajose. Or a 3 with Zeli & Ajose flanking Hanson. If we come away with a point, I’ll be happy.
