Plymouth Argyle pair Luke Jephcott and Ben Reeves are set to bolster the squad before this weekends trip to Hull City in League One, according to manager Ryan Lowe, with both players having joined first team training this week.

On the subject, Lowe said: “The two of them are both training with the lads now so they will be available next Saturday providing everything, touch wood, goes okay. “They did some bits before the game [the 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town at Home Park on Saturday]. They will be fit and ready over the next few days and back with the squad.”

20 year old Jephcott has missed the last three games for Argyle, after picking up a thigh strain in the 1-0 opening day victory over Blackpool at Home Park, a game in which he scored the winning goal. Jephcott picked up the injury in the first half and tried to play on in the second half, but he was substituted off in the 48th minute for Dom Telford.

Reeves, on the other hand, hasn’t featured in any of Argyle’s first six matches in all competitions so far this season, only featuring as a substitute in the greens final pre season fixture against Forest Green.

Since then, he has been working with John Lucas, Argyle’s head of fitness and conditioning, in order to get up to match fitness.

Reeves joined Argyle in the summer after a successful trial period in Devon after his release from MK Dons.
