Plymouth Argyle will be on television for their FA Cup second-round replay against Bristol Rovers this coming Tuesday, with the winner facing Coventry City at home.

The tie was announced to be broadcast by BT Sport last week after the two teams played out a 1-1 draw at the start of the month.

The game will now be played on Tuesday 17th December after it was rescheduled for the broadcast.

It will be the first time they have been on TV since Argyle’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Liverpool, having pulled off a shock to hold Jurgen Klopp’s side to a 0-0 draw at Anfield in January 2017.

This will not only benefit Argyle financially, but the change in date has meant that they can showcase the new Mayflower Grandstand to the world after it’s opening to the public for Argyle Ladies’ 4-5 defeat at the hand of Watford Ladies last Sunday. Saturday will also see Argyle host former Manager Derek Adams’ Morecambe, where the Grandstand will debut a men’s first-team game,

Elsewhere, Tuesday night saw Coventry City beat Ipswich Town 1-2 at Portman Road, making them the a fourth-round opponent for the victor of the replay between Argyle and Rovers.

Should Argyle win, it will see the first matchup between the Pilgrims and Coventry since their League One tie at Home Park last season, when a Ruben Lameiras brace ensured Argyle won the game 2-1.
