A brief introduction
Still without a win and no point in the last three games,  Argyle fans are growing ever concerned. This season seems to be more or less an identical replica of last season…except with even fewer points! In the toxic atmosphere that followed Saturday’s loss to Doncaster, Adams has come out and said publicly, that he isn’t happy with the abuse he is receiving from the fans. However with no win in the league and even losses out of ten it seems to an extent almost inevitable that tensions will bubble over. Barnsley will be a hard game for Argyle tomorrow night as the hosts look to push on and reach the automatics after a solid start to the season.

Typically a bit of a yoyo club, recently relegated Barnsley have lost just one of their last five and find themselves lying contently in fifth place but they will definitely be smelling blood and looking for three points on Tuesday night to propel themselves into contention for automatics. The fact that they have a game in hand on all the teams above them will also give them a fair amount of hope. Barnsley’s current top scorer, Kieffer Moore, has the same amount of goals as the whole Argyle squad in the league this season. After a fantastic season last year for Rotherham in this league, he’ll be the one for Argyle’s defenders to most fear.

Writer’s comments
Like I always say, I really try to be optimistic in these predictions however at this point it so hard to be optimistic, especially against opposition of Barnsley’s calibre! I simply cannot see us getting anything from this match apart from perhaps a goal. The fact it is on a Tuesday night surely worsens our chances with long travelling from Plymouth after next to no rest time from Saturday’s game. Unfortunately I am going to have to say Barnsley will win 3-1. On the flip side, I suppose, when a loss seems so inevitable as this, anything better than that is a bonus!
