For Peterborough United vs Plymouth Argyle, The Opposition View is brought to you with thanks to Jarred Farmer of The Yellow Block Podcast.

How long have you been supporting Peterborough?

I’ve been supporting the Posh for around 18 years now. I got taken to my first game in around 2001, away at Notts County if I remember correctly!

How has your season panned out so far?

Not too bad, we are doing better than I expected after 22+ arrivals in the summer. Our home form has been atrocious though which is good news for you boys!

What does your 2019 look like so far?

It’s been one hell of a start! More drama off the pitch than on it which is usual at Posh. On the pitch we’ve been dumped out of two cups and with only one win in five 2019 league games it’s not been a great start.

Steve Evans’ sacking seemed a little surprising, was it such a surprise as a fan of the club?

A big surprise. Personally I think the sacking is an absolute joke. To sack him after 22 signings and many outgoings, whilst we are in 6th is nothing short of a farce!

What do you make of Darren Ferguson being his replacement?

He’s the safe option for the chairman. Statistically he’s our most successful manager ever, I’m a big fan so although I’m angry regarding the sacking of Evans, it’s great to see Fergie in the dugout again.

What tactical style do you think Peterborough will play against Argyle?

I believe Fergie will revert to the diamond formation. Little width and most of the play will be through the centre of the park with the idea that Lee Tomlin will control the game.

Have any players stood out especially this season?

Ivan Toney is our top goalscorer on 18. Matty Godden has been good in spells too, along with the magical but inconsistent Marcus Maddison.

Are there any real weak links in the ranks?

Yes, the entire back five!

Who or what comes to mind when you think of Plymouth Argyle?

“GREEN ARMY!” – Paul Whitehouse. Sorry!

Which Argyle player, if any, would you like to sign?

Probably Graham Carey, very tidy footballer.

How do you see the rest of the season panning out for you now?

I think it will be a battle between us and Doncaster Rovers for the final play off place.

And how about for Argyle?

Argyle have done great to lift themselves from the pit of the league and are a big club in League One. I hope you stay up!

And finally a prediction for the game?

I’m going Peterborough 2-1 Argyle!
