Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe had positive news on injuries to his squad ahead of Saturday’s crucial face off against Bradford City at Valley Parade.
The most notable news being that defender Will Aimson who has been out since the end of October with a pelvic injury will likely be back in full training on Monday.
“Will Aimson is going to be potentially in full training on Monday, which is a big plus for us. He has grafted, he has worked his socks off to get where he has got to.”
“We will monitor him, with two days on and two days off, but he’s going to be a real asset for us going into the back end of the season.”
A player who has returned to full training is striker Ryan Taylor, who has missed the last four games after picking up a knock to the foot in the second half of the 3-0 defeat to Colchester United earlier this month.
“Ryan is back in the fold, which is a boost. We want all the players fit and then that gives me a selection headache of what I need to do and how I need to go about it.”
“When you have someone of Ryan’s quality and physical presence, when you are playing up against these teams who are a lot more physical than we are, then it’s always a bonus to have him back.”
Young defensive midfielder Josh Grant will return to the club on Monday after returning for checks at his parent club Chelsea for an injury he picked up in the 1-1 draw at Macclesfield Town ten days ago.
“It’s not too bad. I think he’s due back with us on Monday to finish the back end of rehab. Then hopefully he will be available for the following Saturday (for the game against Macclesfield Town at Home Park).”
“It’s not too bad and it could have been worse, so we are happy with what it was.”
“To be fair, Chelsea have got him in and looked after him, and done the right things. They will send him back to us probably early next week.”
Now with a near full squad Lowe wants his squad to be fully focused in the task in hand, for the last 12 games as they push for automatic promotion.
“The lads are focused. We have to be on it over the next 12 games.”
“There will be no distractions, and we’re going to give it a real go.”
