Plymouth Argyle youngster Tom Purrington has won Dorchester Town’s player of the month award for December. The defensive midfielder 19, won the award with a landslide, claiming 44% of the vote.
Fellow Argyle youngster Klaidi Lolos was up for the award but gained just 1% of the vote, after he joined the Southern League Premier Division South side on a short term loan in November
Whilst his team are struggling in 22nd position, Purrington has put in some impressive performances as his side battle against relegation to the 8th tier.
Purrington, the brother of Ben (the left-back who made 52 appearances for the club between 2013 and 2017, before joining Rotherham United) signed his first professional contract in June 2019.
He made his debut last season, coming on as a substitute in a 2-0 defeat to Newport Country in the EFL Trophy.
After managing some minutes in pre-season, mostly at centre-back, Purrington joined Dorchester in August on loan until the end of this month, in search of regular first team minutes.
