It is a genuine honour to be joined by one of the footballing world’s best players and biggest characters that is former Plymouth Argyle manager, Peter Reid.
During Argyle’s struggles through administration, ‘Reidy’ fought for our club; not only funding the heating bill but also selling his FA Cup Medal to raise funds, steering the players through the turmoil and fighting endless off-field fires.
First we take a whistle stop tour through his career from joining Everton as a Liverpool fan, representing England at the 1986 World Cup – including still having nightmares about Maradona – Winning the FA Cup and European Cup-Winners Cup, becoming a player-manager with successes at Manchester City and Sunderland lessons from Thailand and India.
Then we discuss his love of Argyle and the Green Army, how he came to join the club, tales of Tony Pulis, Paul Mariner, John Carver and Bobby Saxton as well as Bradley Wright-Phillips, Craig Noone, Yale Bolasie and Conor Hourihane.
All while the off-field issues are forever prevalent Administration, 2018 World Cup bid, Geographical Issues, Points Deductions and more.
